Metis is an assistant I built and use every day. It runs on my own computer and, on a schedule, labels my Gmail, briefs me before meetings, writes a ranked AI news digest, tracks my job pipeline and logs what I shipped. It's named after the Greek Titaness of wise counsel.

Each one is a small job on my Mac. Everything built from my mail and calendar goes only to my own inbox or my own notes.
Sorts new mail into orders, updates, promotional, jobs, events, newsletter, finance, action needed and new sender. Promotions never reach a model, so most mail costs nothing to sort.
Reads Google and iCloud calendars. Before a meeting or event, it emails me who's coming, how the meeting came about, what to talk about and what to watch for.
Collects AI news from lab blogs, Hacker News and research papers, then writes a short ranked digest in English, Chinese or Korean. It can go to me and to people I choose, and it uses public news only.

How every routine runs
Your data
There is no Metis account and no Metis database in the cloud. The developer never receives your Google data.
Metis connects with your own sign-in. Access tokens are stored only on your computer, and you can revoke them at any time.
Read Gmail and add labels; send Metis's own emails, never your existing mail; read your calendar without changing it.
To sort and summarize, Metis uses the Claude account you already have, through Claude Code on your machine. The privacy policy lists exactly what is sent.
